Tahi Satinjet System.

Concept sketch 2003

In 2007 several products were released by Methven that Shaun worked on before he left.

The last of these was Tahi, a project which began life in 2003.  Shortly after the invention of Satinjet in 2003 it became clear that the spray technology was worthy of a higher brand positioning than the mid-market slide rail sets that were being worked on.  However, due to the need to get the mainstream products into the market place, the Tahi project was put to one side.  The project continued with input from Formway Design in 2004.

Tahi was picked up again by the R&D team in 2006 and was completed in 2007.

Tahi achieved a Silver Best Design Award and an Australian Design Award.

Role: Contributing industrial designer.

Tasks: Concept designs, adjustment mechanism development, human factors design specification leading to definition of overall dimensions, adjustment ranges, footrest position, and spray pattern requirements.
