Race Team Experience
For a couple of years I was part of the highly successful Britten Motorcycles race team. In that time there were a few stand out achievements:
Four world land speed records.
Comprehensive domination of superbike racing wherever it was eligible to enter.
Stringer Award for product design and inaugural recipient of the John Britten award.
Selected for the Guggenheim’s most successful exhibition ever, ‘The Art Of The Motorcycle’.
Role: Industrial designer. Race team member.
Tasks: Hand manufacture of composite components; wheels, front forks, top chassis, front fairing, tank and ducting, rear chassis, tail, bottom pods, rear swing arm. Race team support on composite components. Ongoing design changes to the bikes as needed.
