Maia Shower System

Satinjet system targeted at women.

In 2007 several products were released by Methven that Shaun worked on before he left.

The second of these was the Maia Satinjet Shower System.  This project  began in 2004 when it was originally planned as a slide rail system for the Isis range.  Part way through the project the objective changed towards a unique stand alone product designed specifically to meet the needs of women in an attempt to move Methven’s products away from the constraints of the building cycle.

It incorporates a Vitamin C infusion system that nuetralises Chlorination residues in water, resulting in a water supply that is better for the skin and hair.  The spray system is designed for facial application with massaging sprays gentle enough to stimulate facial nerve endings.

Maia was launched  through exclusive beauty outlets, such as Barney’s of Beverly Hills.  It is now also available in a chrome version through more traditional distribution channels.

Maia won a Silver Best Design Award.

Packaging: initiated in house, but completed I believe by Department Of Doing.
