The A2-09 OPT (Outdoor Payment Terminal) is the succeeding generation of the Invenco all-in-one G6 series of terminals. This product has been integrated into the GVR FlexPay 6 system. This update included a number of customer and end-user focused enhancements:
It was a challenge to fit the larger screen and the full list of features into the same footprint as past G6 OPTs. Changing the PIN entry to a capacitive touch system on glass improved weather-tightness and mechanical reliability as well as (counter intuitively) impact resistance which now exceeds expectations to IK-10.
From a security point of view, this product meets the latest PCI 6.x protocol and the latest EMV 3.0 standards for payment systems.

The design considered the emerging alternative fuel market, particularly the needs of customers delivering Hydrogen. The PIN-on-glass PIN entry system is gas-proof and eliminates button switching that could be hazardous with Hydrogen. The A2-09 has also been future proofed with support for predictive AI enhanced interfaces already designed and built in.
The A2-09 was a finalist in the New Zealand Best Awards, 2024.
